Aegis ITS, Inc.
This position will serve in a lead technical role and support the management of strategically important Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Signal, Construction, Maintenance and/or Integration projects in Aegis’ Eastern Region.
Duties include serving as a senior engineering leader in the Miami, Florida office. In this capacity, the employee will be expected to perform the following duties:
Support business development activities including opportunity identification, qualification, bid/proposal development, pricing, on-site demonstrations and customer training
Review bid and proposal requirements and specifications. Assist in the development of technical proposal responses, including estimates of technical development and integration, material and subcontract content
Lead the development of technical solutions for systems projects and prepare and/or review technical deliverables
Manage and assign work through demonstrated ability and willingness to self-perform many of the tasks that may be assigned on any given project
Performs other duties as required and assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field with 5+ years of experience
Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
Technical competence in system engineering principle and practices
Working knowledge of transportation and arterial traffic signal management
Knowledge of project management principles and practices
Proficiency in relevant software applications including office automation and project management tools
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)
Certification with the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) as a Traffic Signal Technician Level 1 or higher
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
As needed to project locations and company facilities across the U.S.
