PURPOSE This position will serve in a lead technical role and support the management of strategically important Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Signal, Construction, Maintenance and/or Integration projects in Aegis’ Eastern Region.

DUTIES: Duties include serving as a senior engineering leader in the Miami, Florida office. In this capacity, the employee will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Support business development activities including opportunity identification, qualification, bid/proposal development, pricing, on-site demonstrations and customer training

  • Review bid and proposal requirements and specifications. Assist in the development of technical proposal responses, including estimates of technical development and integration, material and subcontract content

  • Lead the development of technical solutions for systems projects and prepare and/or review technical deliverables

  • Manage and assign work through demonstrated ability and willingness to self-perform many of the tasks that may be assigned on any given project

  • Performs other duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field with 5+ years of experience

  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment

  • Working knowledge of transportation and arterial traffic signal management

  • Technical competence in system engineering principle and practices

  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications including office automation and project management tools

  DESIRED:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)

  • Certification with the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) as a Traffic Signal Technician Level 1 or higher

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
