Wavetronix, the global leader in radar based vehicle detection technologies, is seeking a sales professional with a minimum of 5 years channel sales experience, to manage regional sales activities in the United States. The individual is required to exhibit a high level of understanding in the technologies utilized in the products the company manufactures and demonstrate knowledge of their application. Experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems, Traffic and Data Management is desirable. Technical proficiency and technical sales experience is desirable. Individual will be assigned a territory to be determined based on individual suitability. The individual will report directly to General Manager of North American Sales for the company.

The position will require applicant to work out of Orlando, FL company office, travel regularly and consistently within identified territory as well as to company main office in Utah. Applicant should be familiar and proficient with Excel, Word, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

The individual is accountable and responsible for managing the activities of company in the territory. Additionally the individual will be responsive to achieving regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining regional sales needs; and implementing change.

Principle functions will include;

• Development of sales opportunities in this region through channel distribution or direct sales means as appropriate

• Fostering ongoing relationships with existing customers

• Protecting and growing the company brand

• Maintain a high level of market and competitive awareness and trends

• Develop and present strategic plans for large accounts

• suring optimum product exposure and penetration within the territory

• Maintaining a line of communication with all necessary and appropriate customers

MANATEE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS TRAFFIC ENGINEERING DIVISION

POSITION OPENING

Position Title: TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CENTER MANAGER

Department: PUBLIC WORKS

Salary Range: MP7

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of four (4) years experience in traffic related engineering, planning, design or operations. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience. Minimum of one (1) year of experience with budget and/or detailed management of project funding.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems and traffic engineering principles and standards.

• Skilled in the use of Advanced Traffic Management Systems applications.

• Skilled in leadership and interpersonal relationships, public relations, and making presentations.

• Ability to clearly communicate, orally and in writing; technical information in layman’s terms.

• Ability to be calm and effective under pressure and a variety of work situations.

• Ability to coordinate real time activities and priorities.

• Ability and willingness to work alternate work schedules and be on-call 24 hours/day.

• Skilled in computer operations and pertinent software applications.

• This classification performs a variety of supervisory functions involving day-to-day planning, organizing and coordinating of operations and activities associated with the Traffic Management Center (TMC).

Job Specific Work Duties:

• Responsible for the administration and direct supervision of the TMC operators and staff such as shift scheduling, liaison with management, hiring, training and public relations and problem resolution concerning TMC operations. Facilitate operations by guiding critical control room operation decisions, developing special events response plans, guidance during severe events, and by ensuring that staff resources are being utilized effectively and efficiently.

• Responsible for TMC public relations activities such as TMC Marketing efforts, TMC tours, presentations, Traffic Incident Management (TIM) team meetings, and ensuring appropriate interagency coordination. Coordination is essential with all TMC stakeholders; the Florida Department of Transportation, Sarasota County, Manatee County, the City of Sarasota, and the City of Bradenton.

• Prepare regular reports of personnel performance measures for operators and supervisors as defined in the TMC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Operations Manual.

• Identify measures of effectiveness for the TMC in terms of efficiency and effectiveness in providing transportation management, traveler information, incident management, traffic signal operations, and vehicle detection system data. Prepare regular reports on the performance of the system based on these measures of effectiveness as outlined in the SOP.

• Responsible for the training of the operators and development and the quarterly update of the training materials to conform with updates to the SOP.

• Assist Traffic Engineering Division Manager with the budget preparation for the TMC.

• Write and maintain technical documents for the TMC including but not limited to the TMC Operations Manual, Standard Operations Procedure, training manuals, and TMC website content.

Driving License Required: Valid driver's license with valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
