ITS Florida reached hundreds of transportation industry professionals at the Florida Transportation Builders Association’s (FTBA) 2010 annual conference. The meeting took place in Orlando February 23 and 24. Representatives distributed information about ITS Florida and the upcoming Transpo2010 conference in December. The conference was also an incredible opportunity to create a buzz about ITS World Congress in Orlando in 2011 and educate potential attendees about the importance of the World Congress and the chance to showcase Florida’s advanced technology in ITS.
ITS Florida shared a booth with the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) 511 Traveler Information System. FTBA attendees had the opportunity to learn how FDOT is reaching the public and the transportation industry about ITS. Representatives personally spoke with each exhibitor and handed out information about 511, ITS Florida, Transpo2010 and the ITS World Congress. Exhibitors also distributed the 2010 ITS Florida calendar.
FTBA offered an excellent opportunity to reach a large, targeted audience with information about ITS Florida and the 511 Traveler Information System.
